Mayu Mishina has more than 15 years’ experience in communications, project management, and partner engagement, with expertise in messaging, organizational storytelling, and publications production. She has worked in a number of social impact sectors, including international development, conservation, higher education, and LGBTQ+ equity. She most recently served as senior director for strategic communications at Tanager, an international development organization working in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

Mayu has a BA in Political Science from the University of Illinois and a graduate certificate in multimedia journalism from the University of Maryland. Outside of work, she dabbles in photography, tap dancing, birding, and nagging, with varying degrees of success.
